For cremation, you need affordable and great looking urns. We have urns supplier, and the name Journey Vessels - creation by Tess Sierra, but we did not get many buyers.
Here is a link for great looking urns:

Thinking out of the box on columbarium project
#Memorialexperts
The many types of columbary arrangement make us keenly aware of how dumb we have been on thinking of new ways on how to lay out plan design columbary projects. There are so many variations and we simply thought of boxes and squares. Of lines and rows. Now there are columns, there are plant boxes. Oh so many variations and they could be so nice
We need to research more and be creative.

#Offshore/floatingcemetery? Is it feasible?
#Memorialexperts
From Archiscene
I would like to think this is possible only for dry type of interments like bone and ash crypts. This would not take off from any municipality if this were the wet or body crypt type. What do you think?
This idea is being broached in Hong Kong where land is scarce and burial costs are going up. The proposal addresses many concern, especially the ideal burial place.
The article traces the evolution of burial grounds up to multi level columbary and the problems associated with each stage of development especially for HK.

Great idea? Will this take off?

Columbarium of ash crypts need not be mindless boring rows of crypts. They can be made to look beautiful and tasteful. Here are some we picked from Google images:
Tree inspired
Pedestal
Wall type facing a plaza with meditation bench
(for Marina?)
Curved wall in facing a plaza and sculpture
Columbarium with plaza and pool in front

We would like our BC to look like these:

We would like that our BC covers look like this: This may need a metal frame of flat bar, plus nut and bolt (chromed or brass) so that they will not move. The 1 x 1 meter by 1/2 inch will not move. This will have nice and clean appearance

Libingan ng Bayan Columbarium?
#Memorial experts
Our Calamba CMO visited the Vice Mayor of Calamba regarding help desk for those who are destitute and have no interment funds; and funeral assistance by the local govt.
Our Calamba CMO visited the Vice Mayor of Calamba regarding help desk for those who are destitute and have no interment funds; and funeral assistance by the local govt.
It came to my mind that Mayor Ben Hur Abalos has a such a "Libingan ng Bayan" concept.
They have a 3 storey columbarium for the poor, 9 levels for each floor and the deal is:
P4t for bone cremation
P8t for body cremation
urn is P1t to 2t
They rent the ash crypt for P100 a month.
Could we:
Offer a portion of the steep portion for such a project say 2,000 sm
We ask 50% subsidy grant from munisipyo to build this, or tax credit:
We earn on:
1. Ash crypt rental (that is 100 per month. For 20 years that is P24,000 per urn;
2. On the urn sales
3. We are able to help the poor (more pogi points from the Lord)
4. Strengthen the relationship with the LGU.
This fits GSIS SSS budget of P20,000 funeral benefits.
Madali itong mauubos. at malaking tulong sa mahihirap
