The altar at the northwest side of the basement

There must be more than 10,000 ash crypts in the basement of the Transfiguration of Risen Jesus Christ owned by the Roman Catholic Church, Archdiocese of Antipolo at Mahabang Parang, Antipolo City.  They are conventionally built measuring 40 x 40 x 70 cm.  There must be about 14 x walls back to back, and  2 x2 walls of 45 columns by 6 layers.  That would be a lot of ash crypts to sell in the future.

One side wall columbarium, 6 layers 25 columns

The hidden columbarium in a valley
Would you notice that it is a columbarium?

It took me a while to locate the cash crypt at Immaculate Concepcion Heart of Mary in Taktay Road in Antipolo City.  Nestled in a depression in the mountainous area beside the church is the columbarium   From the church, or from the entrance, you would not suspect that there is a columbarium.  Nicely built, nicely designed/planned and executed.

                            Hidden in a valley

40 x40 cm x 70 ash crypts facing the outside

Inside concentric ash crypts of only 3 levels

Outer ring is of 5 levels

The inner ring faces a plaza

The exhaust vent at the rooftop for natural ventilation

Garden at the center of ash crypt plaza
